Progress Made

The Foundation conducted free OPDs in Patna, conducted by the founder members. The yeoman service rendered by Dr. SS Jha is worthy of recall - singlehandedly he made available a hospital where the OPD was held and several surgeries performed. Financial help was rendered to patients in Delhi who could not afford treatment, and a young lady received help in getting married!

For about a year now, a free medical camp for the needy has been held every Saturday at Village Sitapur, Tehsil Virat Nagar, Rajasthan. Several people have benefitted from this. This is conducted in a makeshift building which is dilapidated and quite unfit. The encouraging response led to a desire to set up a medical center in this place; for this purpose, Shri Vijay Chaudhary, Chairman of the Ram Rattan Group has made available a plot of land measuring 1000 square yards. This has been handed over to the Foundation and is available to us for the next 50 years. There is an existing electricity connection that is available, and a borewell for water has been created. A water station (piyao) was established, in the summer of 2023, so clean drinking water was available in the scorching heat to all.

The Foundation is fortunate that like-minded doctors are willing to join hands and have offered their services. In the first phase, a proper OPD, associated radiology, and laboratory unit for investigations are needed.
